Whew! What a crazy three weeks it has been!
I arrived safely at the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv where a German lady & an English woman were patiently waiting.
Of course there was the issue where I had lost my iPhone with all the hubbub of getting through immigration & customs but thanks be to God, it was found & returned. I wasn't panicking but now when I consider that both phone & case were gifts, practically new & included my ID, I should have.
We drove up to Jerusalem & everything felt familiar. I felt giddy & warm as if I were coming home from a long absence.
We arrived at the AMI Center & relief came upon me. After a whole day of traveling, pushing and pulling my luggage to & fro, what I wanted was as shower & a nap.
But this was not to be borne.
Alas, there was a lovely group of South Africans who had stopped by to eat lunch at the center. I did not want to be rude so up the winding staircase I went. I went upstairs to eat with them & to say hello to my old friends who were serving the meal.
I arrived about 3 days before their annual two week Study Tour so there was a lot of work & planning to do. Most was already completed by the time I arrived. It was astonishing to me to see the list of guests amount to 120 from about 13 countries, including my own parents.
I would be my Mom's first trip to Israel, my Dad's 5th time. I was so excited for my Mom to come & see what the big deal was & why I was willing to drop all to come back to eretz Israel.
There is no way I can go on & share with you everything that happened within these past few weeks...I mean I can, but I'd rather give it to you in several doses. Don't want ya'll to OD you know.
See? I do care for you :)
